2007- 2008 World Cup Starts

The first 2007 World Cup event will take place on April 1 – 2 in US Lake Placid (North of New York State). Lake Placid was twice Winter Olympics town (1932, 1980). This spring 137 trampoline and tumbling sportsmen from 20 countries will compete in Lake Placid US Training Center. Russian National is as follows: trampoline, women – Irina Karavaeva, Natalia Chernova, Natalia Kolesnikova and Victoria Voronina; men – German Khnychev, Alexander Rusakov, Yuriy Kozyakov and Alexei Ilichev; tumbling, women – Anna Korobeinikova and Alina Yarullova, men – Tagir Murtazaev and Alexander Goncharov.
The schedule is as follows: April, 1 – individual qualification, April, 2 – synchron qualification, individual and synchron finals. The difference in time with Moscow – minus 8 hours.
At the moment Russian national is in Novogorsk Training Center (Moscow suburbs). March, 29 Russian team will fly to North America. After Lake Placid World Cup one week later trampolinists and tumblers will compete at Quebec World Cup event. The sportsmen will be back home on April, 9.
